Single Review: Blackbird Anthem - Tonight We Ride

Coming out of the heartland of Florida, Blackbird Anthem was founded by United States Army Veteran, Adam Martin in 2015. The strong belief that Rock n' Roll has no boundaries is what inspires this group to keep moving along and writing songs.

One of their most requested songs, Tonight We Ride is the perfect mixture of a Johnny Cash themed ballad and outlaw country. The upbeat tempo gives off the perfect feel; A feeling that says, "I won't give up till I get to where I'm going."

Adam Martin described in a YouTube video that Tonight We Ride was song about what his job consisted of while he was serving overseas in Iraq and I believe this song speaks loudly for that story. The lyrical portion of the song was well-thought out, not leaving any doubt about the depth of the story and the dirty distortion of the guitars were the perfect tone to set the mood. If this song isn't on the radio, I'm highly disappointed. Blackbird Anthem is one for the books.
